The New Beetle 9C comes in three engine versions, the 150bhp 1.8T coded AGU, APH, AVC, AWU, AWV and BKF, the 180bhp 1.8T coded AWP and BNU, and the 170bhp VR5 2.3 20V coded AQN. Forty live lines are attached directly to it, sitting at the crossing of those blocks and the generic EA111, EA211 and EA888 families shared with the rest of the group. The brands established across this set are Kent Cams for the timing belt, Supertech and Ferrea for the collets and valve stem seals. An uprated engine and gearbox mount specific to the model's 1.8T 20V is available too.
