The 206 was the most widely built PEUGEOT of its generation, and this page covers all six engines: 1.4 8V TU3JP, 1.4 16V ET3J4, 1.6 8V TU5JP, S16 109bhp TU5JP4, S16 136bhp EW10J4 and the 206 RC 180bhp EW10J4S. Fifty-two live references are listed: CATCAMS camshafts, mechanical cam followers, SUPERTECH valves and uprated valve springs, forged pistons, ZRP forged rods, forged crankshafts, ACL big end bearings, KENT CAMS adjustable cam pulleys, an ATHENA head gasket, ARP head studs and VIBRA-TECHNICS engine mounts. Pick your engine in the sub-categories below to see only the parts that fit your block.
The 207 is the car where PEUGEOT changed course: the naturally aspirated TU5JP4 carried over from the 206 sits alongside the THP EP6, the turbocharged block co-developed with BMW and MINI, up to the 207 RC 174bhp EP6DTS. Both families are covered here across 43 live references. TU side: forged pistons, ZRP forged rods, CATCAMS cam followers, KENT CAMS adjustable pulleys, ACL big end bearings and a forged crankshaft. EP6 side: ARP head studs, main studs and rod bolts, SUPERTECH valves and valve guides, an uprated head gasket, trimetal bearings, plus a TURBOSMART dump valve and wastegate actuator. Choose your engine in the sub-categories.
The 208 turned the GTI badge into a fully turbocharged supermini: five engines, all EP6, from the 120bhp EP6C to the 208 GTI 208bhp EP6FDTX, via the 156bhp EP6CDT, the 165bhp EP6FDT and the 200bhp GTI EP6CDTX. The 18 live references on this page therefore serve a single block: forged pistons for EP6C/F and EP6D, a forged crankshaft, big end, main and thrust bearings, ARP head studs, main studs and rod bolts, SUPERTECH valves, guides, springs and collets, valve stem seals, an uprated head gasket, a TURBOSMART dump valve and wastegate actuator. Choose your version in the sub-categories.
The 306 remains the benchmark of French motorsport on the special stages: the S16 ACAV 155bhp XU10J4, the S16 163bhp XU10J4RS and above all the 306 MAXI 285bhp XU10J4RS-K, alongside the 1.4 8V TU3JP, the 1.6 8V TU5JP and the 2.0 16V 135bhp XU10J4R. Thirty-five live references: CATCAMS camshafts, mechanical and hydraulic cam followers, CATCAMS and SUPERTECH valves, uprated valve springs, WOSSNER forged pistons for the XU10J4RS-K and WISECO for the XU10J4, ZRP forged rods, ACL big end bearings, KENT CAMS adjustable pulleys, uprated head gaskets, ARP rod bolts plus VIBRA-TECHNICS and POWERFLEX engine mounts. Pick your engine in the sub-categories.
Sold as a saloon, an SW estate and a CC coupé-cabriolet, the 307 is built around the EW10 family: 136bhp EW10J4, 140bhp EW10A and 177bhp EW10J4S, joined by the 1.4 8V TU3JP, the 1.4 16V ET3J4 and the 1.6 16V TU5JP4. Of the 47 live references, the EW10 side gathers the CATCAMS camshafts, including the profile made for the EW10A, CATCAMS and SUPERTECH valves in 35mm and 31mm head diameters, cam followers, a 38-tooth adjustable pulley and the ATHENA head gasket. The TU and ET3 side brings forged pistons, ZRP rods, a forged crankshaft and ACL bearings. Select the exact engine of your 307 below.
No other PEUGEOT in the range lists as many engines: twelve sub-categories span both generations of the 308, from the 1.6 16V 109bhp TU5JP4 and the EP6 120bhp through the EP6DT, EP6CDT and EP6DTS, plus the 2.0 16V EW10A, up to the GTI 200bhp EP6CDTX, GT 205bhp EP6FDTX and GTI 272bhp EP6FDTR. The 42 live references follow suit: forged pistons and ZRP forged rods, CATCAMS camshafts and cam followers, KENT CAMS adjustable pulleys, SUPERTECH valves, guides, springs and collets, ARP head studs, main studs and rod bolts, ACL and trimetal big end bearings, forged crankshafts, uprated head gaskets, TURBOSMART dump valve and wastegate actuator. Open the sub-category for your block.
The 309 GTI lives in the shadow of the 205, whose XU blocks it shares: five engines, all GTI, from the 1.6 8V 113bhp XU5JA to the 1.9 8V 120bhp XU9JA and XU9JAZ, then the 1.9 16V 147bhp XU9J4Z and 158bhp XU9J4. Fifteen live references answer them: forged pistons in 1.6 8V, 1.9 8V and 1.9 16V, CATCAMS camshafts, a KENT CAMS uprated timing belt and adjustable pulleys, mechanical and hydraulic cam followers, uprated valve springs, an uprated head gasket, ARP rod bolts and trimetal big end bearings. Pick your block in the sub-categories.
Three of the five 405 engines carry the Mi16 head: 147bhp XU9J4Z, 152bhp XU10J4Z and 158bhp XU9J4, alongside the 1.9 8V 120bhp XU9JAZ and 122bhp XU9J2. The saloon therefore gets full sports treatment: WISECO forged pistons for the 2.0 16V with a 23mm gudgeon pin, forged 1.9 16V pistons, ZRP forged rods for the XU10J4, CATCAMS camshafts for the XU9 family and the XU10J4, SUPERTECH inlet and exhaust valves, uprated springs, mechanical and hydraulic cam followers, KENT CAMS adjustable pulleys, an uprated head gasket, ARP rod bolts and trimetal bearings. Seventeen references, sorted by block.
The 406 is the only model in the range offering both a V6 and a 2.0 turbo: the 24-valve V6 190bhp ES9J4 and 207bhp ES9J4S sit next to the TCT 147bhp XU10J2TE, the 2.0 16V 136bhp EW10J4 and the 2.0 16V 132bhp XU10J4R. Twenty-six live references serve these five worlds: CATCAMS camshafts specific to each V6, WISECO forged 3.0 24V pistons including a set of four, KS KOLBENSCHMIDT big end bearings with or without oil holes and a KENT CAMS uprated timing belt for the turbo, forged 2.0 8V XU10J2CTE pistons and spark plugs, SUPERTECH valves, CATCAMS springs and pulleys, an ATHENA head gasket, ZRP rods and ARP bolts on the 16-valve side.
A large saloon, the 407 relies here on a single petrol block: the 2.0 16V EW10, first as the 136bhp EW10J4 from 2004 to 2005, then as the 140bhp EW10A from 2005 to 2011. Ten references, all of them live, make up a deliberately tight range aimed almost entirely at the top end. CATCAMS opens the selection with two camshafts, including the profile made for the EW10A, uprated valve springs and a 38-tooth adjustable pulley. Next come SUPERTECH inlet and exhaust valves, mechanical cam followers, a second set of adjustable pulleys and the ATHENA uprated head gasket. The bottom end is served by trimetal big end bearings alone. Pick your engine below.
A standalone sports coupé in the range, the RCZ comes with three EP6 units: the 156bhp EP6CDT, the 200bhp EP6CDTX and, from 2013, the RCZ R and its 270bhp EP6CDTR. That flagship sets the standard for the 17 live references gathered here, all built for the same 1.6 16V turbo. Bottom end: forged crankshaft, forged EP6C/F pistons, big end, main and thrust bearings, ARP main studs and rod bolts. Cylinder head: ARP studs, SUPERTECH inlet and exhaust valves, guides, springs and collets, plus valve stem seals and an uprated head gasket. Boost side: TURBOSMART dump valve and wastegate actuator. Three versions, three sub-categories.
The sharpest version of the Samba, the Rallye built from 1983 to 1986 takes the XY8 to 79bhp and was designed to be homologated for competition. Four live references, chosen for that job, sit directly on this page: the CATCAMS Sport camshaft shared with the CITROËN Visa GT and the PEUGEOT 205, CATCAMS uprated valve springs listed for the XY8 and the TU24, ACL thrust bearings and ACL trimetal big end bearings. That is the honest minimum for rebuilding an XY8 meant to be revved without neglecting how the crankshaft is held.
Built from 1981 to 1986, the standard Samba 1.4 8V makes 72bhp from the XY8, the same block as the Rallye version but in its original specification. The four live references on this page are aimed first at restoring a classic engine: ACL trimetal big end bearings and ACL thrust bearings to recover correct clearances on reassembly, CATCAMS uprated valve springs for a tired cylinder head, and the CATCAMS Sport camshaft if you want to wake the engine up without taking it out of character. All four parts are shared with the PSA TU24.

Q: Can an EP6 THP (207/208/RCZ) be made reliable at 300hp for daily use? A: Proven build: WISECO 77.5mm forged pistons, ZRP I-Beam connecting rods, COMETIC 0.9mm gaskets, ARP 2000 head studs and ACL Race bearings. This base handles a constant 1.4 bar boost with a suitable turbo, an uprated intercooler and optimised engine management. Reliability is guaranteed with rigorous maintenance.
Q: How do you optimise an XU10J4RS (306 S16) for circuit use? A: High-compression JE PISTONS pistons, MANLEY ProLite connecting rods, CATCAMS 285° camshafts, FERREA valves and SUPERTECH dual valve springs. This build delivers 220hp naturally aspirated with a 65mm throttle body and a free-flowing exhaust. Strong torque from 4500rpm, ideal for stringing corners together.
Q: Can the small TU5JP4 (106 S16) really handle serious tuning? A: Absolutely. With WÖSSNER forged pistons, reinforced ZRP connecting rods and careful cylinder head work, a TU5JP4 reliably produces 160-180hp. A robust architecture, perfect for slalom and hillclimbs where a low kerb weight makes all the difference. The standard crankshaft is sufficient up to 8500rpm.
