One reference here, a forged ZRP connecting rod, and one point of clarity to go with it: the engine it is quoted for is a Daihatsu unit. The CB-70 and CB-80 are the one litre three cylinders of that marque, and the product itself names no Toyota model, so we do not claim one. Small displacement engines like these are almost always prepared with forced induction, and the standard connecting rod is what limits them: it was drawn for a light naturally aspirated car and nothing else. That is precisely the part replaced here. If you are unsure which of the two codes your engine carries, ask us before ordering.
This page lists exactly what we hold for the Toyota 2E-TE 1.3L 12v engine: one set of JE PISTONS forged pistons, offered in 73mm bore with a 9:1 compression ratio. That ratio suits a boosted build, where controlling compression matters as much as raw mechanical strength. Forging gives the crown and the gudgeon pin boss a resistance to detonation and to sustained high rpm that a cast original part cannot match. No connecting rods, valves or head gasket are listed for this block: this piston set is the only reference we stock for it. Ask us about bore selection and piston-to-wall clearance before you order.
The 4E-FTE is the small boosted four of the Starlet GT and the Glanza, and it answers well to boost provided the rotating assembly follows. Two references are actually listed here. The first is a set of forged ZRP connecting rods, built for the loads a raised boost pressure puts through the big end. The second is a forged piston set available in two real specifications: Wössner at 74mm bore with a 7.5:1 ratio, and Wiseco at 75mm bore with a 9.3:1 ratio. The lower ratio is the one you choose when boost climbs; the higher one keeps throttle response on a moderate build. Valves, springs, head gasket and bearings are not part of this page.
Toyota 3E-E engine, 1.5-litre 12 valves. This category gathers the reinforced engine parts available for this engine, starting with the reinforced cylinder head gasket.
Two references are listed for this 1.5 litre sixteen valve block, and one of them is worth reading closely. The forged ZRP connecting rod set is specified for the 5E-FE as well as the 5E-FTE: the naturally aspirated engine and the boosted one share the same rod, so a builder starting from an atmospheric block buys exactly the same part. The forged piston set comes in two real specifications, Wössner at 74mm bore with 7.5:1 and Wiseco at 75mm bore with 9.3:1. Nothing else is stocked here. There is no bearing set, no head gasket and no stud kit on this page, whatever the older French text used to promise.
The G16E-GTS of the GR Yaris is one of the few pages on this site where a complete build can be ordered in one go, and all eight references below are live. Bottom end: forged Wössner pistons at a 10.5:1 ratio, forged Carrillo connecting rods with a 22mm gudgeon pin and a 147.75mm centre distance, and ACL Race Series trimetal big end and main bearings. Cylinder head: reinforced Athena head gasket in 92.20mm bore and 1.00mm thickness, Supertech inlet and exhaust valves, and matching Supertech valve springs. Working from a single source across the whole engine keeps the clearances consistent, which is exactly what a three cylinder turbo running high boost demands.
Twenty references are attached to the 4A-GE sixteen valve page and twelve of them are actually live, the eight others being alternative undersize shells that we no longer list. What you can order: forged ZRP connecting rods in 18mm and 20mm gudgeon pin, quoted for the Corolla AE86; a forged piston set covering four real brands, JE PISTONS, Wössner, Supertech and Wiseco, in bores from 81 to 82mm; ACL Race Series and KING Race big end, main and thrust bearings quoted for the 4A-GE and the supercharged 4A-GZE; ARP main studs; and a reinforced Kent Cams timing belt for the 1983 to 1992 MR2. There is no head gasket on this page.
This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the Toyota 1.6 16-valve supercharged engine, code 4A-GZE.
Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series and King Racing, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.
No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.
The live references listed here are grouped by family. Pistons: a forged JE PISTONS set specified for the 20v, plus a 1.6L sixteen valve set that brings together JE PISTONS, Supertech, Wössner and Wiseco. Connecting rods: forged ZRP in 18mm and 20mm gudgeon pin. Bearings: ACL Race Series and King Racing connecting rod bearings in standard size and in repair sizes, plus KING Race main and thrust bearings in standard size, their undersizes being no longer listed. Fasteners: ARP main studs, quoted for the MR2. One point deserves to be stated plainly rather than dressed up: our catalogue for the Black Top and for the Silver Top is strictly the same, because these parts belong to a bottom end the two 20v heads share.
Start with the fact that matters: if you are building a Silver Top, you order the very same parts as a Black Top owner. The two twenty valve heads sit on a bottom end whose reinforced components do not change, and our catalogue reflects that rather than inventing a distinction. Working upwards from the crankshaft: KING Race main and thrust bearings in standard size, ARP main studs quoted for the MR2, forged ZRP connecting rods in 18mm and 20mm gudgeon pin, and connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series and King Racing, in standard size and in repair sizes. At the top of the stroke, a forged JE PISTONS set for the 20v and a 1.6L sixteen valve set gathering JE PISTONS, Supertech, Wössner and Wiseco.
What makes this single reference worth a page of its own is the span of its specifications. The Wiseco forged piston set for the 3TC runs from 86 to 87mm bore, and above all from 7.5:1 to 13.5:1 in compression ratio. That range is not decoration: 7.5:1 is the figure of a heavily boosted build, 13.5:1 that of a naturally aspirated engine running on high octane or competition fuel. One ordering page therefore serves two schools of preparation of this eight valve pushrod engine, provided the ratio is chosen before the order and not after. No other family is listed here.
Toyota 1ZZ-FE engine, 1.8-litre 16 valves. This category gathers the reinforced engine parts available for this engine, starting with the reinforced cylinder head gasket.
The 2ZR-FE is one of those Toyota blocks whose career went well beyond the model range it was drawn for, since Lotus took it in turn. The single live reference on this page follows that dual identity: a set of Wiseco forged pistons quoted for Toyota and for Lotus alike. Forging is what lets a mass produced block accept a raised rev ceiling or forced induction without the crown giving way first. Three further piston kits remain attached to the page but are withdrawn from sale, and they belong to another engine family entirely, the 2TC and 3TC. Only the Wiseco set above is orderable.
This page carries two references. The first is a forged piston set, and its interest lies in what the drop down list hides: the same piston set is offered under two distinct brands, JE PISTONS and Wiseco, so the choice is made inside the reference rather than between two pages. The second is a set of ACL Race Series trimetal connecting rod bearings, in standard size and in repair sizes. The 2ZZ-GE is the high revving sixteen valve that Toyota shared with Lotus, and its lift switching valvetrain makes the piston the part that suffers first when the rev limit is raised. Be clear about what this page is not: there are no rods, no head gasket and no stud kit here.
This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the Toyota 2.0 8-valve engine, codes 1RZ and 1RZ-E.
Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.
No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.
This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the Toyota 2.0 16-valve four-cylinder engine, code 1AZ-FE.
Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.
No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.
Twenty three references are attached to the naturally aspirated 3S-GE and eleven are live. Pistons come in two forms: a set combining JE PISTONS and Wössner, and a second set reserved for the BEAMS variant under JE PISTONS alone, which is the distinction worth knowing before ordering. The forged connecting rod is a Manley. On the bottom end, ACL Race Series and KING Race big end, main and thrust bearings, several of which are shared with the turbocharged 3S-GTE. Sealing is handled by a Cometic head gasket. Finally, adjustable Catcams camshaft pulleys let a modified valvetrain be timed properly. Engines fitted to the MR2, the Celica and the Celica GT-Four.
On a turbocharged engine the first part to give way is rarely the one you expect: it is the head joint, long before the rotating assembly. That is why this page opens with ARP head studs and a Cometic head gasket, the pairing that lets the 3S-GTE hold a raised boost pressure without lifting the head. Then comes the rotating assembly proper, with a forged Manley connecting rod and a forged piston set covering JE PISTONS, Wössner and Wiseco. ACL Race Series and KING Race big end and main bearings complete the build, several of them shared with the naturally aspirated 3S-GE. Fitted to the MR2, the Celica GT-Four and the Celica Turbo 4WD.
This flat four has two names because it has two parents: Toyota calls it 4U-GSE, Subaru calls it FA20, and the same engine powers the GT86 and the BRZ. Ordering for one therefore means ordering for the other, which is worth knowing before you compare part numbers. Seven references are live. Cylinder head: Supertech inlet and exhaust valves. Rotating assembly: a forged piston set gathering Supertech, JE PISTONS and Wössner, a forged Manley connecting rod, and KING Race bearings. Fuel side: a Sytec pump, the one part here that has nothing to do with the short block but everything to do with feeding a tuned engine.
The B48 is a BMW design, and its presence under a Toyota badge is not a filing error: the four cylinder Supra is powered by it, just as the MINI Cooper S F56 and a long list of BMW ranges are. Two references are live on this page. The first is a forged piston set offered under three brands depending on the specification chosen, JE PISTONS, Wössner and Supertech. The second is an NGK spark plug for the shared B48 and B58 platform. Two references only, and no rods, bearings or head gasket, whatever a nearby page may suggest. The other kits attached here are withdrawn from sale.
A 9.9:1 ratio tells you what this page is for. It sits close to the factory figure, which means the Wiseco forged piston set offered here is not aimed at a compression increase but at making a 20R hold together: same combustion behaviour, a far stronger part. That is the sensible choice for an engine that spends its time towing, climbing or turning laps rather than chasing a dyno figure. Bore is 90mm. One point must be stated plainly, because the old text on this page did the opposite: there is no connecting rod, no bearing, no head gasket and no fastener here. This piston set is the whole of it.
This page covers a hybrid build rather than a factory engine: a 2.2 litre block topped with the 3S-GTE cylinder head, a well known route to a larger capacity turbocharged four. The piston is the part such a combination cannot do without, since it has to suit both the bore of one and the chamber of the other. The single live reference is a JE PISTONS forged set from the JE Round range, in 87.5 and 88mm bore at a 9:1 ratio, the low ratio that suits boost. It is the only reference on this page, and the brand deserves saying since no previous text on the page ever mentioned it.
Two bores are offered on the single reference of this page, and the gap between them is what makes it useful. At 92.5mm you stay within a cylinder that is still healthy. At 94mm you are buying the freedom to rebore a block whose walls are scored or ovalised, rather than hunting for a replacement casting that is no longer easy to find. The compression ratio stays at 10:1 in both cases, so the engine's character is unchanged; what changes is that the piston is now a forged Wiseco rather than a cast original. Nothing else is listed for the 22R here, neither rod nor bearing nor gasket.
The 2AZ-FE was designed to move a saloon and a compact SUV without fuss, which is exactly why the parts on this page matter: nothing in the original build anticipated the loads a prepared engine puts through it. Three references are live. The piston set is offered under JE PISTONS from the JE Round range and under Wiseco, from 88.5 to 90mm bore, and it splits into two ratios that answer two different projects: 9:1 for a boosted engine, 11:1 for a naturally aspirated one. The second reference is a Manley forged connecting rod quoted specifically for the Camry and the RAV4. The third is a set of ACL Race Series trimetal connecting rod bearings, in standard size and in repair sizes. Gaskets are not part of this page.
The reference held here reaches beyond the engine named at the top of the page, and saying so saves you a wasted search. The Wiseco forged piston set is quoted for the 2RZ-FE, the 2.4 litre this page is built around, and equally for the 3RZ-FE, its 2.7 litre big brother. Three bores are available, 95, 95.5 and 96mm, which covers a standard rebuild as well as two successive reboring stages. The ratio stays at 8.8:1 throughout, a deliberately low figure that leaves room for boost on a family of engines often used under load. A second reference completes the page: a set of ACL Race Series trimetal connecting rod bearings, valid for the 1RZ, 2RZ, 3RZ-FE and 2TZ-FE engines, in standard size and in repair sizes.
This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the Toyota 2.4 16-valve engine, codes 2TZ-FE and 2TZ-FZE.
Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.
No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.
JE PISTONS is the brand actually sold on this page, and it is worth naming because the earlier text opened on parts that were never here. The forged set comes from the JE Round range, in 90 and 90.5mm bore, and the choice is made on the compression ratio: 9:1 or 11:1. The first figure is the one a turbo project calls for, the second the one a naturally aspirated build wants when nothing is going to force air into the engine. The half millimetre between the two bores is the margin a machinist needs when a cylinder has to be cleaned up. One reference, and nothing else for the 2AR-FE.
Three references, and between them they rebuild the moving parts of a 1JZ. The piston set is the one where the choice is made, since it gathers Wössner and JE PISTONS under a single product: the brand is selected inside the reference, not between two pages. The forged connecting rods are Wössner. Completing the set are KING Race thrust washers, the small part nobody thinks about until crankshaft end float starts drifting on an engine that has been apart more than once. All three are quoted for the 1JZ-GTE and for the naturally aspirated 1JZ-GE alike, which means a builder converting one to the other orders the same parts.
Two references sit on this page, and the honest thing to say about the first is that it is not exclusive to the 2.7 litre. The Wiseco forged piston set quoted for the 3RZ-FE is the very same one our 2RZ-FE page lists, because Wiseco specifies it for both members of the RZ family. If you arrived here from the 2.4 litre page, you have not made a mistake and you do not need to compare the two. Bores run 95, 95.5 and 96mm, at a compression ratio of 8.8:1. The second reference is a set of ACL Race Series trimetal connecting rod bearings, valid for the 1RZ, 2RZ, 3RZ-FE and 2TZ-FE engines, in standard size and in repair sizes. What you will not find on this page is a rod, a head gasket or a fastener: none is listed for this block.
This page was opened later than the rest of the Toyota range and carries one reference only: a forged ZRP connecting rod. Its interest is that it is not limited to the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE named at the top of the page. The rod is equally quoted for the 2JZ-GTE, which is the usual direction of travel: an engine that starts life atmospheric and receives a turbocharger needs its rods before anything else, because the standard item is the part that sets the ceiling. Nothing else is listed here. For pistons, bearings, gaskets and studs, go to our 3.0L 24v - 2JZ-GTE page, which carries the full range.
This is the page from which a 2JZ-GTE can be built from nothing, and the claim is meant literally: the catalogue goes as far as a DART engine block and a forged ZRP crankshaft, so the foundation itself can be replaced rather than repaired. Above it, forged pistons from Wössner, JE PISTONS, Manley, Wiseco, Diamond and Supertech, and forged rods from ZRP, Boostline, Manley and Wössner. The cylinder head is served by Ferrea valves, Ferrea and Supertech springs, Athena gaskets and ARP studs. ACL and King Racing bearings, Catcams camshafts, FIC injectors and Vibra-Technics mounts complete twenty seven live references.
The 7M-GTE powered the Supra from 1986 to 1993 and has a reputation for lifting its head gasket, which explains why fasteners come first here. ARP supplies both the studs and the rod bolts, the two places where clamping load decides whether the engine survives a raised boost pressure. The forged piston set gathers Wössner, JE PISTONS and Wiseco under one reference. A Supertech inlet valve is available on the cylinder head side. Finally, two Vibra-Technics reinforced engine mounts stop the whole assembly moving under torque, a part the previous text never mentioned although we have always stocked it.
Every one of the thirteen references attached to this page is live, which is rare enough to be worth saying. The engine is the B58B30, a BMW design that the Supra A90 shares with the M3 and M4, so a part quoted for one car fits the other. Forged rods come from ZRP and Boostline; forged pistons from JE PISTONS, Wössner and Diamond, with a JE PISTONS only variant for a 100mm stroke crankshaft. Sealing and clamping are covered by Athena and Cometic head gaskets and ARP studs, bearings by ACL Race and King Racing. Five further references serve the valvetrain; their brand is not established in our data and we do not name one.

Preparing a 1FZ-FE is rarely about chasing a lap time. This four and a half litre six is asked to pull hard, low down and for a long time, often with a turbo added and always with a heavy vehicle behind it. The three references held here answer that brief and nothing else. The forged piston set is a JE PISTONS. The connecting rod is a forged Manley of H beam section, fitted with ARP2000 bolts, the fastener grade that decides how much torque a rod can take before the big end opens up. The third is a set of ACL Race Series trimetal connecting rod bearings, in standard size and in repair sizes. Three references, three brands, and no gasket or stud on this page.
This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the Toyota 4.7 V8 32-valve engine, code 2UZ-FE.
Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.
No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.
Two references here for the 5.7 litre 3UR-FE V8 of the Tundra, Sequoia and Land Cruiser 200: a forged Manley rod of I-HD section, secured with ARP2000 bolts, and the ACL Race Series 8B8630H trimetal connecting rod bearings, a set of 16 half shells in sizes from standard to +0.25 mm. The I-HD profile is the choice for a large capacity V8 that works on torque rather than revs: it puts the metal where the compressive load is highest. No piston is listed for this engine: if you need pistons, ask us.
Three references are live on this page, and all three belong to the top of the engine: a Cometic head gasket, ARP head studs to clamp it, and adjustable Catcams camshaft pulleys to time a modified valvetrain. Between them they cover the work done on a cylinder head that has been skimmed or rebuilt, which is what most of these cars need first. The rest is stated plainly: the piston kits attached to this page are withdrawn from sale and no connecting rod is listed, despite what the address of the page suggests. For those, go to our engine code pages, 2.0L 16v - 3S-GE and 2.0L 16v - 3S-GTE, which carry the full range.
Five references are live on this vehicle page, and they divide neatly in three. Valvetrain: Supertech valves, the part a flat four spinning to a high limit wears first. Bottom end: KING main and big end bearings, the parts that go back in every time this engine is opened. Fuel: a Sytec pump, because a tuned FA20 quickly outgrows the delivery it left the factory with. What is not here has to be said: there is no live forged piston and no connecting rod, although the page address announces both. Our 2.0L 16v - 4U-GSE page carries the pistons, the rod and the rest for this same boxer, shared with the Subaru BRZ.
Forty references are attached here and twenty are live, which makes this one of the better stocked Toyota pages. It also makes one warning necessary: the engine codes are not all those of the same car. Eight of the live references are quoted for the 4A-GE, the engine of the first generation MR2, the AW11, and not for the SW20 this page is named after, whose engines are the 3S-GE and 3S-GTE. One more, a set of ARP studs, is quoted for the 1ZZ-FE. Read the engine code on each reference before ordering. Live here: ACL and KING bearings, ARP studs, Supertech valves, one JE PISTONS piston set and a Kent Cams belt.
Under the bodywork of the GR Supra sits a B58B30, which is to say a BMW straight six, and that single fact widens the choice open to its owner: parts developed for the M3 and M4 apply here too. Sixteen of the nineteen references on this page are live. Forged pistons come from JE PISTONS and Wössner, forged rods from ZRP. Around them, ARP studs, a head gasket, bearings, uprated valves and springs, and an NGK spark plug for routine servicing. The whole of a build is available from this page alone, from the rotating assembly to the part you change at every service.
Eight of the eighteen references attached here are live, and they need reading carefully. Five suit the A70 and its 7M-GTE directly: ARP head studs and rod bolts, a Supertech inlet valve and two reinforced Vibra-Technics engine mounts. The three others are bearing sets, and they are quoted for the 1JZ and 2JZ engines, not for the 7M-GTE this car left the factory with. If your A70 still runs its original engine, they are not the parts for it; if it has been converted to a JZ, they are exactly right. No forged piston or rod is available here despite the page address: those are on our 3.0L 24v - 7M-GTE page.
Thirty six of the fifty five references attached to the JZA80 are live, and this page keeps the promise its address makes: a forged piston set, under Wössner and JE PISTONS, and a forged connecting rod, under ZRP and Wössner, are both available. Follow the build order from there. Sealing and clamping: Athena head gaskets, ARP studs and bolts. Bearings: ACL and King Racing. Cylinder head: Ferrea and Supertech valves and springs. Chassis side, Vibra-Technics reinforced mounts hold the whole thing still. And for anyone starting again from scratch, a DART engine block and a complete rotating kit are listed. The most completely stocked Toyota page we hold.
