The 4E-FTE is the small boosted four of the Starlet GT and the Glanza, and it answers well to boost provided the rotating assembly follows. Two references are actually listed here. The first is a set of forged ZRP connecting rods, built for the loads a raised boost pressure puts through the big end. The second is a forged piston set available in two real specifications: Wössner at 74mm bore with a 7.5:1 ratio, and Wiseco at 75mm bore with a 9.3:1 ratio. The lower ratio is the one you choose when boost climbs; the higher one keeps throttle response on a moderate build. Valves, springs, head gasket and bearings are not part of this page.
