1.8L 16v - 2ZR-FE

The 2ZR-FE is one of those Toyota blocks whose career went well beyond the model range it was drawn for, since Lotus took it in turn. The single live reference on this page follows that dual identity: a set of Wiseco forged pistons quoted for Toyota and for Lotus alike. Forging is what lets a mass produced block accept a raised rev ceiling or forced induction without the crown giving way first. Three further piston kits remain attached to the page but are withdrawn from sale, and they belong to another engine family entirely, the 2TC and 3TC. Only the Wiseco set above is orderable.
