  • 1.6L 16v - FB16

This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the SUBARU 1.6 16-valve engine, code FB16.

Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.

No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.

  • 2.0L 16v - EJ20
The EJ20 section is the most complete of our SUBARU range: twenty active references cover the whole rotating assembly and the parts around it. Forged pistons from WÖSSNER, WISECO, SUPERTECH, JE PISTONS and MANLEY, bores from 92 to 93mm and compression ratios from 8:1 to 9.5:1; forged connecting rods by ZRP, MANLEY and BOOSTLINE; a ZRP forged crankshaft; KING RACE and ACL Race Series tri-metal big end and main bearings; ARP head studs; a COMETIC head gasket for the EJ20 SOHC; FERREA valve springs and retainers; NGK spark plugs; VIBRA-TECHNICS engine and gearbox mounts for the Impreza GC and GD.
  • 2.0L 16v - EJ205/207
EJ205 and EJ207, the two turbocharged blocks of the Impreza WRX and WRX STI, share this page. On the piston side the choice is genuinely open: the same size can be supplied by WÖSSNER, WISECO, SUPERTECH, JE PISTONS or MANLEY, in bores from 92 to 93mm and compression ratios from 8:1 to 9.5:1, either as a standard 2.0L or as a 2.1L built around an EJ25 crankshaft. Fifteen active references round it out: ZRP, MANLEY and BOOSTLINE forged rods including a 132.5mm long-centre version, a 75.00mm ZRP forged crankshaft, KING RACE and ACL Race Series bearings, ARP head studs, FERREA valve springs and VIBRA-TECHNICS mounts.
  • 2.0L 16v - FA20
The FA20 is the only naturally aspirated boxer in the range, and Subaru shares it with Toyota: BRZ, GT86 and the 4U-GSE engine. It is also the page with the highest compression ratios, up to 13.5:1 against 8:1 on the turbo blocks, on bores of 86 to 87mm, with forged pistons from JE PISTONS, WÖSSNER and SUPERTECH. Six active references: BOOSTLINE and MANLEY forged connecting rods, a black nitrided stainless intake valve and an Inconel exhaust valve from SUPERTECH, KING RACE tri-metal big end bearings, and a SYTEC 378 L/h fuel pump, the only fuel system part of the branch.
  • 2.0L 16v - FB20

This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the SUBARU 2.0 16-valve engine, code FB20.

Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.

No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.

  • 2.5L 16v - EJ255
The EJ255 2.5 turbo is the sealing page of the range: it carries two uprated head gaskets where the others carry one, ATHENA in 1.2mm thickness for a 100mm engine bore and COMETIC for a 101mm bore. On the rotating assembly, forged pistons from SUPERTECH, JE PISTONS, MANLEY and WISECO, 99.5 to 100.25mm, compression ratios from 8.3:1 to 9.8:1, with a 2.6L build on an 83mm crankshaft. Add KING RACE and ACL Race Series tri-metal bearings, ARP head studs and VIBRA-TECHNICS mounts. Forged EJ connecting rods are listed under 2.0L 16v - EJ20.
  • 2.0L 16v - FA20DIT
This is the shortest page of the Subaru branch, and deliberately so: two references, the complete moving assembly for a FA20DIT build, and nothing else. The forged piston is offered by JE Pistons, in its FSR and Ultra Series ranges, and by Manley, standard and HD, in bores from 86 to 87mm with compression ratios of 10:1, 10.5:1 and 10.6:1, suited to a direct-injection turbo boxer. Facing it, the forged connecting rod comes from Manley, in H-HD and I-HD sections, and from Boostline in I-3P. Head gaskets, big end bearings and studs are not listed here: this page carries the piston and the rod, and only those.
  • 2.2L 16v - EJ22
The EJ22 is the only 2.2 litre block in the whole Subaru branch, and this page is built around that fact. Two forged piston sets belong to it alone: a 2.2 set from JE Pistons, Round series, and Wiseco, in 97 to 98mm bores at 8.5:1, and a 2.4 stroker set from Wiseco for an EJ22 fitted with an EJ25 crankshaft, in 97.5 to 98mm. Everything underneath is shared with the EJ20 and EJ25: tri-metal big end bearings and main bearings from KING Race and ACL Race Series in 48 and 52mm, forged connecting rods from ZRP, Boostline and Manley given for the 2.0, 2.2 and 2.5 boxer, and ARP M11x1.25mm head studs.
  • 2.5L 16v - EJ25 DOHC
The EJ25 DOHC is the only page in this branch where the cylinder head and the bottom end are prepared side by side. The head comes first: a Supertech black nitrided stainless intake valve, 36x5.96x105.9mm, given for the EJ25 2.5L and WRX, a Supertech inconel exhaust valve, 33x5.96x121.70mm, which its maker designates for the naturally aspirated EJ25 99-05, and the Ferrea Racing KT4019 kit of valve springs and retainers for EJ20 and EJ25 from 2001 to 2018. ARP M11x1.25mm head studs hold it down. Its own forged piston carries three names, JE Pistons, Wössner and Wiseco, in 99.5 to 100.5mm bores from 8:1 to 11.5:1, above KING Race and ACL bearings and ZRP, Boostline and Manley rods.
  • 2.5L 16v - EJ25 SOHC
On a single overhead cam EJ25, the gains are found in the bottom end, and that is what this page carries. Its own forged piston set comes from two makers only, JE Pistons in Round and FSR series and Wiseco, in 99.5 to 100mm bores at 8.5:1 and 11.5:1. Under it sit the tri-metal bearings given for the EJ20, EJ22 and EJ25, from KING Race and ACL Race Series, and the forged connecting rods of ZRP, Boostline and Manley cut for the 2.0, 2.2 and 2.5 boxer. The Athena reinforced head gasket, 100mm bore and 1.2mm thick, completes the set. For valves, springs and collets, go to the page 2.5L 16v - EJ25 DOHC: they are not stocked here.
  • 2.5L 16v - EJ257

The SUBARU 2.5L 16v EJ257 boxer can be built from end to end on this page. Two forged piston kits open the range: the 2.5L in 99.5mm to 100mm bore, badged WISECO, JE PISTONS, MANLEY or SUPERTECH depending on the variant, with compression ratios from 8.2:1 to 9.8:1, plus a big-capacity 2.6L set made for an 83mm crankshaft.

Then come MANLEY forged rods on 132.5mm centres and the ZRP, BOOSTLINE or MANLEY kit, ATHENA 100mm and COMETIC 101mm head gaskets, ARP M11x1.25 head studs, KING RACE and ACL Race Series tri-metal bearings, FERREA valve springs and collets, and VIBRA-TECHNICS engine and gearbox mounts.

  • 2.5L 16v - FB25

This category lists the trimetal connecting rod bearings available for the SUBARU 2.5 16-valve engine, code FB25.

Only one part family is stocked here today: a set of trimetal connecting rod bearings by ACL Race Series, in standard size and in repair sizes. Stronger than the original bearing, the trimetal shell is intended for tuned engines running under heavy load.

No other part family is listed for this engine code at present.

  • 2.5L 16v - EJ257 with EJ20 cylinder head

This page covers one precise build: the EJ257 block topped with an EJ20 cylinder head. A single reference belongs to it alone, the forged piston kit cut for that combination, offered as WÖSSNER or JE PISTONS, 100mm bore, from 8.2:1 to 9.5:1 compression depending on the variant.

Everything else here is the common 2.5 turbo foundation: KING RACE and ACL Race Series big end and main bearings, FERREA valve springs and collets, VIBRA-TECHNICS engine and gearbox mounts. For forged rods, head gaskets and ARP head studs, go to our 2.5L 16v - EJ257 page.

  • 3.0 24V - EZ30R

The EZ30R is the only 24-valve flat-six in our SUBARU range, and this page is given over to it entirely. It carries one reference and one only: the SUPERTECH forged piston kit, in two sizes, 89.2mm bore at a 8.5:1 compression ratio and 89.5mm bore at 9:1.

No rods, no head gasket and no head studs specific to the EZ30R are listed today: the page stops at the forged piston. That piston is still what separates a standard EZ30R from a built one, and it remains the only six-cylinder alternative to the four-cylinder boxers in the SUBARU range.

  • Impreza GC8 GT Turbo 218hp 1998-2000

The Impreza GC8 GT Turbo, 218hp, 1998 to 2000, lives or dies by its bottom end, and that is what this page equips: thirteen live references aimed at crankshaft and rotating assembly durability.

Two families of forged rods, the MANLEY kit on 132.5mm centres and the ZRP, BOOSTLINE or MANLEY kit. Then KING RACE and ACL Race Series big end bearings in 48mm and 52mm, KING RACE flanged and ACL main bearings in 52mm and 60mm, ARP M11x1.25 head studs, a COMETIC head gasket listed for the 2.0 EJ20 16V SOHC, and VIBRA-TECHNICS Competition engine and gearbox mounts.

  • Impreza GD 2.0 WRX 218hp 2000-2005
Entry version of the GD generation, the Impreza 2.0 WRX 218hp with its EJ205 engine, built from 2000 to 2005, gets its reliability groundwork here: ARP head studs, the COMETIC reinforced head gasket for the EJ20 16V, ACL Race Series and KING RACE tri-metal big end and main bearings in 48mm and 52mm, plus VIBRA-TECHNICS Competition engine and gearbox mounts. Forged piston and connecting rod kits are not listed here: find them on our '2.0L 16v - EJ205/207' page in the SUBARU section.
  • Impreza GD 2.0 WRX 225hp 2002-2007
Ignition sets this page apart: the NGK PFR6B spark plugs, sold as a set of four, are listed nowhere else in our SUBARU section. They fit the 2.0 WRX 225hp, EJ205 engine, 2002 to 2007, and sit alongside the reliability parts shared across the GD generation: ARP head studs, the COMETIC reinforced head gasket for the EJ20 16V, ACL Race Series and KING RACE tri-metal big end and main bearings in 48mm and 52mm, VIBRA-TECHNICS Competition mounts. Forged pistons and rods live on our '2.0L 16v - EJ205/207' page.
  • Impreza GD 2.0 WRX STI 265hp 2001-2005
The EJ207 block of the Impreza GD WRX STI, rated 265hp and built from 2001 to 2005, is what this page serves. Bottom end reliability parts are shared between the EJ205 and EJ207 versions of the GD: the same ACL Race Series and KING RACE tri-metal big end and main bearings in 48mm and 52mm, the same ARP head studs, the same COMETIC reinforced head gasket for the EJ20 16V, the same VIBRA-TECHNICS Competition mounts. What changes is the engine served, the STI's EJ207 and its 265hp. Forged pistons and rods: see '2.0L 16v - EJ205/207'.
  • Impreza GD 2.5 WRX STI 280hp 2005-2007
The only 2.5 of the GD generation, the Impreza WRX STI 280hp built from 2005 to 2007 runs the EJ257, and this is the one GD page that reaches the cylinder head. It lists FERREA Competition Plus intake and exhaust valves in sets of eight, OEM size and +1mm, the SUPERTECH black nitrided stainless intake valve 36x5.96x105.9mm, the COMETIC reinforced head gasket with 101mm bore for EJ255 and EJ257, ARP head studs, ACL Race Series and KING RACE tri-metal bearings and VIBRA-TECHNICS mounts. Forged pistons and rods: see '2.5L 16v - EJ257'.
  • Impreza GE 2.5 WRX STI 301hp 2011-

The Impreza GE is the only model in this SUBARU branch to leave the factory with 301hp, and this page gathers what holds its EJ257 bottom end together: the fastener and the shell, not the moving part.

You will find ARP M11x1.25mm head studs, ACL Race Series big end bearings in 52mm and 48mm, and ACL Race Series main bearings in 52mm and 60mm. All are supplied in standard size, in tri-metal, sized for the loads of a built engine.

Forged rods and pistons for this engine are listed under 2.5L 16v - EJ257.

  • Impreza GJ WRX STI 2.5 2014-

The GJ is the newest generation of this Impreza branch, and its page turns on the head joint. It is the only one here to carry a COMETIC reinforced head gasket in a 101mm bore, rated for the EJ255 and EJ257 blocks.

Around that gasket sits the hardware shared across the branch: ARP M11x1.25mm head studs, ACL Race Series big end bearings in 52mm and 48mm, and ACL Race Series main bearings in 52mm and 60mm, all in standard size. Those parts are common to the GE and the GJ; only the COMETIC gasket belongs to this page alone.

  • 3.3L 24v - EG33

The EG33 is the only 3.3-litre flat-six in the whole SUBARU branch, the 24-valve block of the SVX. This page offers a single choice, and it is the one that matters on a rod: the bolt.

The ZRP forged rods, in the I-HD profile, come in two versions here: with ARP2000 bolts, or with L19 bolts for the hardest-working builds. The rod body is the same in both; only the bolt material changes, and that is what sets the load ceiling. They are designed to run with forged pistons.

  • 3.0L 24v - EZ30D
The EZ30D is Subaru's 3.0L flat-six engine, fitted to the Outback. This page covers the bottom end: ACL Race Series tri-metal connecting rod bearings, from standard size to +0.25 mm.
