    Performance engine parts for the BMW 525i E39 2.5 24V M54B25, built from 2000 to 2004.

The ZRP forged connecting rods for the M54B25 use an H-beam in 4340 steel, as a set of six or as a single rod, with ARP 2000 or L19 hardware: that is what sets them apart from the I-beam rods of the M52 blocks. The ATHENA and COMETIC head gasket covers the M54B25 and M54B30 in 85.0mm MLS, from 0.69 to 1.52mm thick. The head is complete: SUPERTECH and FERREA valves, SUPERTECH guides, valve stem seals and collets, SUPERTECH and CATCAMS springs in 6mm, with ACL RACE and KING RACING tri-metal bearings. • BMW 540i E39 286hp M62B44 1996-2003

The M62B44 is the 4.4 litre V8 of the BMW 540i E39, built from 1996 to 2003, and our selection for it comes down to four parts.

The JE forged pistons open the build: a 92mm bore, an 8.5:1 compression ratio, a 22mm gudgeon pin, and a fitment table that also covers the 740i and X5 4.4i. The set of sixteen ARP con rod bolts and the uprated ATHENA head gasket, references 330026R and 330027R, close the bottom end and the head seal. Valve timing goes to the CATCAMS Sport camshafts 1303702. Let us also say what this page does not carry: no forged connecting rod, no bearing and no valve is listed for this block to date.

Two parts only, and both of them aim at the connecting rod. The ZRP forged rods use an H-beam in 4340 steel, in a set of eight, with ARP 2000 or ARP L19 hardware; they are listed for the M5 E39 and for the Z8 E52, which share this block. The ACL RACE and KING RACING tri-metal big end bearings come in standard size, in standard with HX clearance and in +0.25mm. This page carries no forged piston, no head gasket and no valve to date: if you are building an S62B50 and need a part that is missing, ask us for it.
