Adapter for fitting an external oil cooler to BMW M52 and M54 straight-six engines. It screws in place of the original plug on the oil filter housing.
Technical specification
Connection: M22x1.50, inlet and outlet. Fits the BMW M52, M52TU and M54 engines used in the BMW E36, E39, E46, Z3, X3 and X5, depending on the engine version.
The NSB Concept tip
An oil cooler is essential on BMW M52 and M54 engines used on track. Oil temperature can easily exceed 130 degrees C in hard driving, which accelerates oil degradation and puts the engine at risk. Also fit an oil thermostat opening at 80 degrees C for the best cooling.
