On the 1.6 16V turbo N13B16A of the BMW 316i F30/F31, fastener strength is the first limit once boost pressure rises, and that is the thread of this page.
All three ARP kits are listed: ARP2000 head studs, 8740 main studs and ARP2000 con rod bolts, for the Prince block shared by BMW, MINI and PSA. They sit alongside ZRP and WÖSSNER forged I-beam rods, forged pistons in 77 and 77.5mm bore and a forged crankshaft. Big end and main bearings come in ACL RACE and KING RACING tri-metal, from standard size up to +0.50mm oversize.
