The BMW Z4 35is E89 left the factory with 340hp, the twin-turbo N54B30 in its highest standard output, from 2010 to 2016. The block is identical to the 35i, so the catalogue is the same, but the factory tune leaves a thinner margin: the rotating assembly comes first.
Forged pistons run from 84 to 85mm bore, with a 22mm gudgeon pin and compression ratios from 9:1 to 10.5:1, in the MANLEY, WÖSSNER, DIAMOND, JE and WISECO ranges. Forged rods come as ZRP I-beam, MANLEY H-beam or I-HD and BOOSTLINE I-3P, with ARP2000, L19 or CA625+ bolts.
Then follow the ACL RACE and KING RACING tri-metal bearings, the full cylinder head range and a DINAN performance air filter on clearance.
