The naturally aspirated 3.0 24V N52B30 six-cylinder powers the BMW Z4 30i E89 with 258hp, from 2009 to 2011. A single uprated reference is attached to it today.
It is a set of six ZRP forged connecting rods, machined from 4340 steel with an I-beam section, designed to take forged pistons and supplied with either ARP 2000 or ARP L19 con rod bolts. On this block the standard rod is the first component to give way as revs and load rise, so any serious build starts there.
Forged pistons, an uprated head gasket and performance valves are not yet covered for the E89 generation of the roadster.
