The BMW 228i F22/F23 runs the same N20B20 as the 220i, in its highest factory output at 245hp.
Two references are listed for its rotating assembly. The ZRP forged connecting rods are supplied with ARP 2000 or ARP L19 hardware, and the tri-metal big end bearings are available from ACL RACE and KING RACING. On an engine already stressed as it leaves the factory, these are the two parts that set the ceiling on boost pressure. No forged piston and no uprated head gasket are listed for this engine at present.
