The BMW 1M E82, built in 2011 and 2012, uses the 3.0 L 24V N54B30 twin-turbo raised to 340hp.
Forged connecting rods name it explicitly among their fitments, alongside the 135i, 335i, 535i, 740i, X6 35i and Z4 35i: ZRP in I-beam form, MANLEY in H-beam and I-HD, BOOSTLINE in I-3P, with a choice of ARP2000, L19 or CA625+ bolts. ACL RACE and KING RACING tri-metal bearings are offered in standard and in repair sizes, 0.025, 0.026, 0.25 and 0.50mm oversize, which allows a reground crankshaft to be reused. Forged pistons run from 84 to 85mm and the cylinder head takes valves, springs and CATCAMS camshafts.
