The BMW M3 E90 and E92 carries the naturally aspirated 4.0 32V S65B40 V8 rated 420hp, from 2007 to 2013.
JE forged pistons cover 92 and 92.5mm bores, with a 21mm gudgeon pin and compression ratios from 10:1 to 12.5:1. The set of eight ZRP forged connecting rods in 4340 steel is supplied with ARP2000 or L19 bolts, and sixteen ARP con rod bolts are sold separately in the CA625+ range. The COMETIC MLS head gasket lists thirty-four options in 93.0 and 94.0mm, from 0.69 to 3.56mm compressed thickness, alongside ARP2000 head studs. Then come SUPERTECH valves in sets of sixteen, ACL RACE and KING RACING bearings, the VIBRA-TECHNICS engine mount for road or track and the BMC air filter.
