Set of 16 reinforced exhaust valves for BMW S65B40.
The S65B40 is the naturally aspirated V8 of the E90, E92 and E93 M3: 3,999 cc, 92 mm bore and 75.2 mm stroke, built from 2007 to 2013. Its very short stroke lets it rev high, with four valves per cylinder.
Its 16 exhaust valves have a thin 5 mm stem and a single groove; They are fitted with the original BMW collets and valve stem seals. A track session holds this V8 near its maximum rpm for a long time, and its exhaust valves under a continuous thermal load.
On the exhaust side, the valve head sits in the burnt gases: the metal reaches 760 to 870 °C on a naturally aspirated V8 such as the S65, and exceeds 1,000 °C once a supercharger is fitted. About 75 % of that heat leaves through the seat and 20 % through the guide. An EV8 family steel, taken as a benchmark, keeps only 300 MPa at 800 °C, against 550 MPa at 600 °C.
The SUPERTECH BMEVI-1065 is made of Inconel, a nickel based superalloy that keeps 860 MPa at 732 °C and 554 MPa at 816 °C, about 85 % more than EV8 steel around 800 °C. It keeps the original dimensions (30.5 mm head, 110.2 mm length) and the single groove of the BMW assembly.

The single groove of the BMEVI-1065 matches the BMW valve: the original collets, preferably new, are kept.
The head keeps its 30.5 mm, so the exhaust seats only need an inspection when the head is rebuilt.
On the S65, the original BMW valve stem seals are kept.
