Technical specification

• Valve head diameter: 30.50mm (OEM) or 31.50mm (+1mm)

SUPERTECH valves are manufactured from a forged blank, then CNC-machined for optimal precision. They then receive a heat treatment (which varies according to the valve's application) and are ground again (Super-finishing process). SUPERTECH valves are checked by several means such as ultrasound, X-ray and laser measurement.

For more than three decades, SUPERTECH has worked to find the most suitable materials for each valve and each application in order to increase reliability. There are therefore different valve materials such as stainless steel, Inconel, titanium and sodium (the latter is present in the valve stem and allows better heat dissipation).

The manufacturing processes for FERREA Racing Components valves are similar to those of SUPERTECH: slow two-stage forging, heat treatment and stress-relieving over 48 hours, and CNC machining. These valves are designed to achieve better reliability in all circumstances but also to improve flow with a thinner stem at the valve head (Superflow Valve). FERREA develops different ranges/materials of valves in order to meet as closely as possible the constraints of each engine and each application (naturally aspirated, turbo, nitrous preparation, etc.).
