Set of 8 reinforced exhaust valves for the Audi 2.0 TFSI.
At Audi, the 2.0 TFSI turbo four-cylinder came in two families: the EA113 (AXX, BPY, BWA, BHZ) in the A3 and S3 8P and the TT 8J, then the EA888 (CAWB, CCZA, CDLA, CAEA, CNTC, CJX...) up to the S3 8V and TTS FV. Depending on the engine code, it delivers 180 to 310 hp.
It has 8 exhaust valves. On the EA113 and early EA888, the original part is the 06D 109 611 H: 28.0 mm head, 6 mm stem, 101.9 mm length; the third generation EA888 (CJXB, CJXC) uses the 06D 109 611 L or the 06E 109 611 K, with the same head and stem. On these often remapped engines, the exhaust valves are the first to see the temperature climb.
The head metal of an exhaust valve goes beyond 1,000 °C on a forced induction engine, against 760 to 870 °C naturally aspirated. It only sheds that heat by contact: roughly 75 % through the seat, 20 % through the guide. Compared with the EV8 family, the original steel drops from 550 MPa at 600 °C to only 300 MPa at 800 °C. Higher boost pushes the head beyond that: it fatigues, distorts and the seat no longer seals.
The five SUPERTECH valves on this page are Inconel, a nickel superalloy that holds 860 MPa at 732 °C and 554 MPa at 816 °C, about 85 % more than EV8 steel around 800 °C. The VWEVI-1002T has 3 grooves, the VWEVI-1002S, VWEVI-1004S and VWEVI-1006S a single groove; the VWEVI-1002S-HS adds a hollow stem filled with sodium, which melts at 97.8 °C and draws heat from the head into the stem. The FERREA F2177P and F2178P have 3 grooves.
The VWEVI-1004S and F2178P take the head from 28.0 to 29.0 mm (+1 mm) and the VWEVI-1006S to 30.0 mm (+2 mm): burnt gases leave the cylinder faster towards the turbine, filling improves and power rises; the exhaust seats are then machined to the diameter of the new head.

SUPERTECH note: its 2.0 TFSI valves have a 5.96 mm stem and a 101.8 mm length; FERREA gives 5.97 mm and 102.0 mm for the F2177P and F2178P.

The VWEVI-1002T, F2177P and F2178P need 3 groove collets, the other SUPERTECH valves single groove collets: check the ones fitted to the cylinder head.
At 28.0 mm, the standard size, the seats stay as they are; at 29.0 or 30.0 mm, the 8 exhaust seats are recut to size.
The original valve stem seals are 036 109 675 A (AXX, BWA, CCZA, CDLA...) and 057 109 675 on the third generation EA888.
| SUPERTECH Performance has been making racing valves and valvetrain parts in California for more than thirty years. For the 2.0 TFSI its whole range is Inconel: single or 3 grooves, sodium filled, in standard size, +1 mm and +2 mm. | |
| FERREA, born in 1978 from the partnership of Horacio Ferrea and Daniel Urrutia, produces in Florida and Argentina. Its 3 groove valves for the EA888 come in standard size and +1 mm. |
Choose the groove to suit the collets, then the size to suit the work planned on the cylinder head:
