    The 1.4 8V TU3JP rated at 73hp is built up through its valve gear and its bottom end. We stock a CATCAMS Sport camshaft available in several lift and duration profiles, the matching set of eight single CATCAMS valve springs, and vernier cam pulleys from CATCAMS and KENT CAMS to time the belt drive precisely. The bottom end takes ACL RACE and KING RACING tri-metal big end and main bearings, in STANDARD size, in HX extra clearance and in +0.30mm and +0.50mm repair sizes, together with ACL RACE thrust washers. No forged pistons or connecting rods are listed for this eight-valve block.

    The 1.4 16V ET3J4 rated at 88hp is the only sixteen-valve unit in the entry-level C3 range, and two CATCAMS kits cover it. The CATCAMS Sport camshafts come in a series of profiles, from a measured road gain to the sharpest lifts kept for the circuit; the choice is made on lift and duration, not on a headline power figure. The CATCAMS uprated valve spring kit goes with them: past the standard lift, the original springs coil-bind and lose control of the valve. No uprated bottom end parts are listed here, so on this block the build stops at the cylinder head.

    On the TU5JP4 rated at 109hp everything rests on a matched rotating assembly: ZRP forged connecting rods come with 18, 19.46 and 19.50mm gudgeon pins and in H, H-Lite, I and I-HD beams, with ARP2000 or L19 bolts, and each pin size calls for its own piston. Wössner, Wiseco and JE forged pistons cover 78.5 to 80mm bores at compression ratios from 9:1 to 13:1, over a ZRP forged crankshaft. At the head, two CATCAMS spring options coexist, one for standard cam followers, one for Pouget T-shaped followers, alongside SUPERTECH, FERREA and CATCAMS valves.

    The 120hp EP6C belongs to the Prince family born of the PSA-BMW agreement, and its stock is the one shared by the N12 to N18 blocks. What holds a built Prince together is the fastening: ARP2000 head studs, 8740 main studs and ARP2000 con rod bolts, all from ARP. The head gasket comes in two makes and two bores, ATHENA MLS at 78.5mm and COMETIC MLX at 78.0mm, from 0.81 to 1.32mm compressed thickness. At the head SUPERTECH supplies guides, valve stem seals, springs and 5mm collets. Below sit a ZRP forged crankshaft and ACL RACE or KING RACING bearings.
