  • CITROEN DS4 1.6 16V 120hp EP6C 2011-2015

The 120hp CITROËN DS4 1.6 16V runs the EP6C, the naturally aspirated member of the Prince family developed by PSA and BMW. This is the best stocked DS4 page, with fifteen active parts.

It is the only one to carry two SUPERTECH intake valve references, in standard size and in 1.00mm oversize. The exhaust valves, 26.20 to 27.00mm across the head, are also listed standard and in 0.80mm. Then come the 16 valve guides, the stem seals, the springs and the 5mm collets. The WISECO, SUPERTECH and JE forged pistons cover 77 and 77.5mm bores from 9.5:1 to 10.1:1, and are quoted for the EP6D and the N14B16.

  • CITROEN DS4 1.6 16V 156hp EP6CDT 2011-2015

The 156hp EP6CDT is the turbocharged version of the Prince engine fitted to the Citroën DS4 from 2011 to 2015. Fourteen active parts, including the forged pistons that the 163, 200 and 210hp DS4 pages do not carry.

What makes this page useful is the piston and head gasket pairing. The WISECO, SUPERTECH and JE pistons, quoted for the EP6D and the N14B16, come in 77 and 77.5mm bores at 9.5:1, 9.8:1 and 10.1:1. Facing them, the COMETIC MLX bored to 78.0mm offers seven compressed thicknesses from 0.81 to 1.32mm, and the ATHENA MLS 78.5mm one at 0.90mm, enough to take up a skim.

  • CITROEN DS4 1.6 16V 163hp EP6CDTM 2012-2015

The 163hp EP6CDTM was fitted to the Citroën DS4 from 2012 to 2015. Thirteen active parts and no forged piston: this page is best read through the cylinder head.

It has what a refaced head needs. The intake valves are listed in standard size and in 1.00mm oversize, the exhaust valves, 26.20 to 27.00mm across the head, in standard size and in 0.80mm, which lets a worn seat be recut. The set of 16 guides is standard size, the stem seals follow, and the 32 SUPERTECH collets are 5mm with a single groove. The head gasket comes as a COMETIC MLX at 78.0mm and an ATHENA MLS at 78.5mm.

  • CITROEN DS4 1.6 16V 200hp EP6DTX 2011-2015

The 200hp EP6DTX is the hardest working Prince engine in the Citroën DS4, built from 2011 to 2015. Thirteen active parts, presented here through the fasteners.

They all come from ARP and cover the three joints that see the most load under boost. The head studs are in ARP2000, the main studs in 8740, and the set of eight con rod bolts is ARP2000 again. The rest of the page follows: SUPERTECH valves and guides, a COMETIC MLX or ATHENA MLS head gasket, and ACL RACE or KING RACING tri-metal bearings.

  • DS DS4 1.6 16V 165hp EP6FDT 2015-2018

The facelifted DS DS4 runs the 165hp 1.6 THP EP6FDT from 2015 to 2018. Thirteen active parts, the same as on the 163, 200 and 210hp pages: we present them here through the bearings.

Big end bearings, main bearings and thrust washers are all listed in ACL RACE and in KING RACING. Each one is chosen in standard size, in the HX extra clearance variant, or in 0.025, 0.026, 0.25 and 0.50mm, according to what the crankshaft regrind called for. No forged crankshaft is listed for this block, and no forged piston either.

  • DS DS4 1.6 16V 210hp EP6FDTX 2015-2018

The 210hp EP6FDTX is the most powerful block in the DS DS4, from 2015 to 2018. Its selection is the same as the 163, 200 and 165hp pages: we present it here through sealing.

Two brands, two bores. The COMETIC MLX is bored to 78.0mm and comes in seven compressed thicknesses, 0.81, 0.91, 1.02, 1.12, 1.22, 1.27 and 1.32mm; the ATHENA MLS is bored to 78.5mm at 0.90mm. ARP2000 head studs hold the clamp load. Neither a forged piston nor a forged crankshaft is listed for this block: SUPERTECH top end parts and ACL RACE or KING RACING bearings complete the page.
