The COMETIC MLX head gasket is bored to 78.0mm and runs from 0.81 to 1.32mm compressed thickness. Lower down: a ZRP forged crankshaft, ACL RACE or KING RACING tri-metal bearings, ARP2000 head studs and con rod bolts, 8740 main studs. The WISECO, SUPERTECH and JE forged pistons listed here are rated for the EP6D and N14B16.

    CATCAMS supplies its Sport camshafts 1302601, 1302602 and 1302603 together with the PAC-D99864 spring and retainer kit. Boost is handled by TURBOSMART: the TS-0223-1093 dump valve and the TS-0604-1155 wastegate actuator. The rest follows: WISECO, SUPERTECH or JE forged pistons at 77 and 77.5mm, a ZRP forged crankshaft, ACL RACE or KING RACING tri-metal bearings, a COMETIC MLX head gasket and ARP fasteners.

    Forged pistons come at 77 and 77.5mm bore, from 9.5:1 to 10.1:1 compression, on a 20mm gudgeon pin, in the WISECO, SUPERTECH and JE ranges. Behind them sit a ZRP forged crankshaft, ACL RACE or KING RACING tri-metal big end and main bearings, thrust washers, ARP2000 con rod bolts and 8740 main studs. Boost is handled by the TURBOSMART dump valve and wastegate actuator.

    The 1.6 THP EP6FDTX at 208hp powers the DS DS3 Performance from 2015 to 2019. Its selection is identical to that of the 165hp EP6FDT: here we present it through the bottom end.

    The ZRP forged crankshaft is the centrepiece. Tri-metal big end and main bearings come in ACL RACE and KING RACING, in standard size, in the wider HX clearance variant and in undersizes; the thrust washers follow the same ranges. Main studs in 8740 and ARP2000 con rod bolts hold the assembly. No forged piston is listed for this block.
