Set of 8 reinforced exhaust valves for the Toyota 4A-GE 20v.
The 20-valve 4A-GE, in Silver Top then Black Top versions, is Toyota's five-valve-per-cylinder 1.6 litre of the E9 to E11 Corolla, the Levin, Sprinter and T21 Carina.
With three inlet and two exhaust valves per cylinder, it has 8 slim-stem exhaust valves. FERREA reproduces them at standard size, with a 26 mm head and a 4.98 mm stem.
Naturally aspirated, the head of an exhaust valve works between 760 and 870 °C, and passes 1,000 °C on a forced induction engine. The seat dissipates about 75 % of it and the guide about 20 %. EV8 family steel, taken as the reference for the original, falls from 550 MPa at 600 °C to 300 MPa at 800 °C: a head that runs too hot fatigues, distorts and no longer seals properly.
FERREA offers its 6000 series valve in EV8 stainless steel, at standard size. SUPERTECH offers the TEVN-1018-8 in black nitrided stainless steel: nitriding hardens the surface and limits wear of this slim stem in its guide.
The SUPERTECH is +1 mm, a 27 mm head: gases leave more freely, provided the 8 exhaust seats are machined to that diameter. The FERREA keeps the 26 mm head and the standard seats.

The F6331 is standard size, in EV8 stainless steel, from the 6000 series; the TEVN-1018 is a black nitrided stainless steel racing valve at +1 mm.

Before reassembly, check that the collets suit the groove of the chosen valve.
At 26 mm the seats stay as they are; with the 27 mm TEVN-1018-8, the 8 exhaust seats are machined to the new size before fitting.
Both part numbers keep a similar length, 108.5 mm for the FERREA and 108.4 mm for the SUPERTECH, with a 4.98 and 4.97 mm stem.
