Set of 8 reinforced exhaust valves for the Citroën C4 VTS 2.0 16V EW10J4S.
At Citroën, the EW10J4S 2.0 16V powers the C4 (LA_) 2.0 16V from 2004 to 2010 and the C4 I (LC_) 2.0 16V from 2004 to 2008.
The cylinder head carries 8 exhaust valves with a 31 mm head in standard size and a 6 mm stem. The two sets offered are 103 mm (9249004M) and 102.85 mm (PEEVN-28705-8, 5.95 mm stem) long.
Without a turbo, an exhaust valve head sits between 760 and 870 °C; with a turbo or supercharger it goes past 1,000 °C. The seat takes about three quarters of it (75 %), the guide a fifth (20 %). An EV8 family exhaust steel holds 550 MPa at 600 °C, but only 300 MPa at 800 °C, hence heads that overheat, fatigue, warp and then leak.
The SUPERTECH PEEVN-28705-8 is cut from Inconel, a nickel superalloy that retains 860 MPa at 732 °C and 554 MPa at 816 °C, close to 85 % better than EV8 steel around 800 °C.

Before any reassembly, check that the collets match the lock groove of the chosen valves.
In standard size, both sets fit exhaust seats cut back at 31 mm, with no enlargement.
With a 6 mm stem (9249004M) or a 5.95 mm stem (PEEVN-28705-8), guide clearance on the C4 is checked according to the chosen version.
