Set of 6 reinforced inlet valves for NISSAN Patrol GR Y61 with TB45E engine.
The TB45E is the 4.5 litre petrol inline six of the Nissan Patrol GR Y61, with two valves per cylinder. Offered from 1997, it produces 197 to 230 hp and is built above all for torque, to tow and drive off road.
Its cylinder head carries 6 large inlet valves, Nissan part number 13201-VC000, held by 13210-U0100 collets. Towing, sand or engine tuning keep them under heavy load for long periods.
The inlet valve opens the path for fresh air, strikes its seat each time it closes and slides constantly in its guide. It runs between 400 and 550 °C: at 600 °C an original chrome-silicon steel only keeps 250 MPa against 500 MPa at 500 °C, 50 % of its strength lost.
The FERREA valves on this page belong to the Competition Plus range, stainless steel with a chrome stem: this range brings 20 % more hot strength and fatigue resistance and extends seat life by 25 %.
They come in standard size (47 mm head) and +1 mm oversize (48 mm head), with a 7.94 mm stem and a length of 118.15 mm. With the 48 mm head, the passage at the seat widens and the cylinder fills better, provided the 6 inlet seats are cut to this diameter.

The +1 mm oversize needs the inlet seats cut to 48 mm; in standard size the seats keep their diameter.
The groove is square: before refitting the springs, check that it matches the collets used.
