Technical Specifications
Cut Ring Racing Technology for the 6G72/T V6 3.0L Engine
The Athena 330071R head gasket is the peak of sealing technology for high-power Mitsubishi 6G72/T V6 3.0L engine builds. Developed specifically for heavily boosted applications (turbo >2 bar, NOS) and for tuned naturally aspirated engines, this Cut Ring Racing gasket goes well beyond the performance of conventional fire ring gaskets.
6G72/T V6 3.0L Engine Applications
Suitable for vehicles fitted with the naturally aspirated Mitsubishi 6G72 and the turbocharged 6G72T/TT V6 3.0L: Mitsubishi 3000GT/GTO (N/A and VR-4 Twin-Turbo), Dodge Stealth (Base and R/T Turbo), Mitsubishi Eclipse V6, Mitsubishi Galant, Mitsubishi Diamante, Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero/Shogun, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport/Montero Sport, Mitsubishi Sigma, Dodge Avenger, Chrysler Sebring Coupe, Dodge Stratus.
Separate AISI 304 Stainless Steel Rings
Athena's exclusive technology uses individual AISI 304 stainless steel rings positioned around each cylinder. These "Cooper Rings" deliver maximum combustion chamber sealing, even under extreme boost pressures (>2 bar turbo, NOS), where traditional fire ring solutions reach their limits. Ideal for the 3000GT VR-4 Twin-Turbo and every turbocharged 6G72 build.
High-Performance M0115 Composite
Made from OEM-approved M0115 composite material, this asbestos-free gasket combines aramid fibres, non-organic materials and elastomer. Excellent resistance to extreme thermal and mechanical stress, perfect conformity to the gasket faces, resistance to oil, fuels and coolants. It withstands the high temperatures and pressures of turbocharged set-ups.
Strategic Silicone Reinforcement
Silicone beads are applied to the critical areas (water and oil passages) to guarantee optimal sealing. The special surface coating compensates for micro imperfections in the gasket faces, which is crucial on tuned and boosted engines.
