Set of 8 exhaust valve stem seals for Mazda B6 and BP (MX-5, 323), 6 mm stem.
These 8 seals dress the 6 mm stem exhaust valves of the Mazda 16-valve B6 (1.6) and BP (1.8): MX-5 NA 1.8 and MX-5 NB 1.8, turbo included, 130 to 214 hp, 323 IV (BG) 1.6 16V and 1.8 16V Turbo 4WD or GT-R, 323 V (BA) 1.8 16V and 323 Station Wagon 1.8, between 1989 and 2005.
The B6 and BP carry 8 exhaust valves, two per cylinder. The original seal sits on the guide and meters the oil; SUPERTECH replaces it with the Viton VS-TS6E, the BP inlet taking the VS-TS6I.
On the MX-5 exhaust side, the seal lives next to the hot gases leaving the BP head, far hotter than the incoming air. Hardened over the cycles, its grip on the oil fades, and the oil trickles along the 8 stems of 6 mm into the B6 chambers and burns there, hence regular top-ups, blue smoke as the 323 starts and carbon fouling valves and ports. The guide still needs a film of oil.
For these 8 exhaust valves, SUPERTECH moulds the VS-TS6E from a Viton (FKM) meant for the hottest zones; the brand credits it with 204 °C (400 °F) continuous. Fitted on the BP's 11 mm guide around the 6 mm stem, the VS-TS6E has a 13.4 mm outside diameter. These 8 pieces do a B6 or BP exhaust; on the MX-5 inlet, the polyacrylate (ACM) VS-TS6I takes over.

On both B6 and BP, the VS-TS6I and VS-TS6E fit the same dimensions, but the MX-5's 8 exhaust valves take much more heat than the inlet. SUPERTECH therefore assigns the VS-TS6E Viton (FKM) there and leaves the VS-TS6I polyacrylate (ACM) on the 323 inlet.
