Set of 8 inlet valve stem seals for Toyota 3S-GTE and 4A-GE 16V, 6 mm stem.
This set of 8 seals fits the 6 mm stem inlet valves of two 16-valve Toyota fours: the turbo 3S-GTE of the Celica GT-Four (ST165, ST185, ST205), MR2 II (SW20) and Caldina, 185 to 261 hp, and the 16-valve 4A-GE of the Corolla AE86 and AE92, Celica AA63, Carina AT171, Sprinter and Conquest, 115 to 140 hp, between 1983 and 2007.
The 3S-GTE and the 4A-GE 16V each have 8 inlet valves, two per cylinder. The original Toyota seal (90913-02xxx series, by year) sits on the guide and meters the stem's oil; SUPERTECH's VS-TS6I-8 replaces it on the inlet.
On a Celica GT-Four's 3S-GTE as on an AE86's 4A-GE, the inlet seal must leave just enough oil on the 6 mm stem to lubricate it in its guide, no more. Hardened by the 3S-GTE's heat, it lets oil reach the chambers: repeated top-ups between changes, blue smoke as the 4A-GE starts or picks up after idling at length, then carbon on the 8 inlet valves and the 4A-GE's 4 plugs.
SUPERTECH moulds the VS-TS6I in polyacrylate (ACM) for the 11 mm guide and 6 mm stem of the 3S-GTE and 4A-GE 16V, with a 13.4 mm outside diameter. This set of 8 covers an engine's whole inlet; the hotter exhaust takes the VS-TS6E in Viton.

On the 3S-GTE and 4A-GE 16V, the VS-TS6I and VS-TS6E are dimensionally identical yet differ in material: SUPERTECH keeps the VS-TS6I polyacrylate (ACM) for the 3S-GTE's 8 inlet valves and gives its 8 hotter exhaust valves the VS-TS6E Viton (FKM). Per SUPERTECH, polyacrylate takes 177 °C (350 °F) and Viton 204 °C (400 °F) continuous. Count 8 seals per side.
