2.4L 8v - CIH 

The 2.4-litre eight-valve is the largest of the CIH four-cylinder units, the biggest capacity this architecture received before moving to the straight six. It gives plenty of torque very low down, and equally a high load per cylinder. As soon as compression or cylinder filling are changed, the cast standard piston becomes the first limit of the block, because it was never sized for that level of stress. We hold a single forged piston reference here for the 2.4 8v CIH, chosen for exactly that reason rather than a list of parts that do not suit it.
