Set of 8 intake valve stem seals for the twin-cam Mitsubishi 4G63, 6.6 mm stem.
This set of 8 fits the 6.6 mm stem intake valves of the twin-cam, 16-valve Mitsubishi 4G63 four-cylinder, naturally aspirated or turbo (4G63T): Lancer Evolution I to IX, Eclipse I and II, Galant VI GTI 16V and VR-4, Carisma GT, plus the twin-cam 2.0 Lancer, Outlander, Space Runner, Santamo and Dion.
The head has 8 intake valves, two per cylinder. Each takes a seal that caps its guide and lets through only the oil needed to lubricate the stem.
Perched on the guide, this seal rations the oil travelling down the stem: a faint film lets the valve glide without scoring its bore, and any more is too much. With its lip tired or stiffened by heat cycles, lubricant reaches the 4G63 cylinders and burns: repeated top-ups, a blue haze on cold start or after a long tick-over, fouled valves and plugs.
For the inlet, SUPERTECH moulds these seals from a high-grade polyacrylate (ACM). They cap a guide measuring 12 mm across and grip a 6.6 mm stem. Eight pieces dress every inlet valve; the hotter exhaust calls for a seal in another high-temperature rubber, sold on its own.

Dimensionally, the inlet and exhaust seals are twins; only the rubber differs. VS-M6.6I polyacrylate (ACM) serves the inlet, VS-M6.6E Viton (FKM) the exhaust, whose valves run noticeably hotter. SUPERTECH rates the first at 177 °C (350 °F) and the second at 204 °C (400 °F) continuous. A twin-cam 4G63 head always takes 8 of each kind.
