Set of 8 exhaust valve stem seals for Nissan SR20DET and KA24DE four-cylinders, 7 mm stem.
This set of 8 goes on the 7 mm stem exhaust valves of two Nissan 16-valve four-cylinders: the turbo SR20DET of the Silvia, S13 to S15 200SX, 180SX, Sunny GTI-R, Bluebird and Avenir, and the 2.4-litre KA24DE of the 240SX, Navara, Pick Up, Altima and Presage.
Each head carries 8 exhaust valves, two per cylinder. The original seal caps the guide to slow the oil while lubricating the stem; on the SR20DET Nissan lists it as 13207-84A00 (NDK) or 13207-D4201 (NOK), then 13207-53F00 (NOK) from April 1994.
On an SR20DET or KA24DE head the exhaust seal surrounds the hottest valve, the one releasing burnt gases into the manifold. With age its lip loses suppleness: the seal stops retaining oil, which enters the chamber and burns, giving frequent top-ups, bluish smoke and carbon on valves and manifold. A thin film of lubricant has to stay on the stem, however, so that it slides in its guide without wear.
SUPERTECH makes this set from a fluoroelastomer, Viton (FKM), which it presents as suited to high temperatures and good for 204 °C (400 °F) continuous. The sizing targets a 7 mm stem and an 11 mm outside diameter guide. Eight pieces cover every exhaust valve of the head; on the intake these engines use a 6 mm stem and take a separate polyacrylate (ACM) set.

These four-cylinders combine two stem sizes: 6 mm on the intake with VS-N6I polyacrylate (ACM) and 7 mm on the exhaust with VS-N7E Viton (FKM), chosen for its resistance to the heat of the hotter exhaust valve. An SR20DET or KA24DE head takes 8 exhaust seals.
