Set of 8 inlet and exhaust valve stem seals for Subaru and Toyota FA20, FA20D, FA20F, 4U-GSE, 5.5 mm stem.
This set of 8 seals is for the 16-valve 2.0 flat-four with 5.5 mm stems shared by Subaru and Toyota: FA20D and FA20C of the Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT 86 (4U-GSE), then the FA20, FA20E and FA20F of the Forester XT, Impreza, Legacy, Levorg, Outback and WRX, 200 to 301 hp, since 2012.
The FA20 has 8 inlet and 8 exhaust valves, all capped by SUPERTECH with the same VS-SU5.5-EI seal. A set of 8 does one row; 2 sets of 8 cover the complete FA20 head. Each seal sits on the guide and lets only useful oil reach the stem.
On a BRZ's FA20D as on a WRX's FA20F, each seal lays a very fine oil film on the FA20's 5.5 mm stem and stops the excess on top of the guide. With the FA20 boxer's heat cycles the lip hardens and leaks: the GT 86 uses oil between changes, blue smoke shows as the FA20 starts or pulls away from a long FA20 idle, and carbon covers its 16 valves and 4 plugs.
SUPERTECH's VS-SU5.5-EI, the FA20's Viton (FKM) seal, fits a 9.9 mm guide and 5.5 mm stem, with a 12.2 mm outside diameter. The same VS-SU5.5-EI serves the 4U-GSE's inlet and exhaust: with 2 sets of 8, the FA20 head is fully done.

On the FA20, FA20D, FA20F and 4U-GSE, SUPERTECH relies on the VS-SU5.5-EI: this Viton (FKM) seal caps the FA20's 8 inlet valves and its 8 exhaust valves alike, with a 5.5 mm stem and 9.9 mm guide throughout. The VS-SU5.5-EI's Viton holds 204 °C (400 °F) continuously per SUPERTECH, a welcome reserve on the FA20F. Plan 2 sets of 8 per FA20.
