Set of 8 inlet and exhaust valve stem seals for Renault Clio II and Clio III RS F4R, 5.5 mm stem.
This set of 8 is for Renault Clio Renault Sport models with the naturally aspirated F4R 2.0 16-valve engine, 5.5 mm stem: Clio II RS (F4R730, F4R736, F4R738, 169 to 179 hp, 2000 to 2009) and Clio III RS (F4R830, F4R832, 197 to 200 hp, 2006 to 2014).
The F4R has 8 inlet and 8 exhaust valves, fitted by Renault with seal 7700103938 and capped by SUPERTECH with its integral seal, the same on both sides. A set of 8 fills one row, two sets the whole head; the seal sits over the guide and meters the stem's oil.
The Clio RS F4R loves high revs, and each of its 16 seals must meter oil along the 5.5 mm stem without letting any run into the chamber. With repeated heat the lip goes stiff and starts to leak: the F4R's level drops from one oil change to the next, bluish smoke shows on a cold start or as the Clio leaves a long idle, and the 16 valves and 4 plugs foul.
SUPERTECH makes the VSI-D5.5E, a one-piece Viton (FKM) seal made to suit the F4R's 11 mm guide and its 5.5 mm stem. Each of the 8 pieces fits the inlet or the exhaust as needed: one part number replaces the original seals of both rows.

On the F4R730, F4R736, F4R738, F4R830 and F4R832, SUPERTECH keeps just one part: the VSI-D5.5E integral seal, in Viton (FKM), dresses the 8 inlet and the 8 exhaust valves, 5.5 mm stem and 11 mm guide. According to SUPERTECH this Viton handles 204 °C (400 °F) continuously, reassuring on the exhaust of a high-revving engine. Count 2 sets of 8.
