Set of 8 reinforced inlet valves for TOYOTA Celica and Corolla 2ZZ-GE.
The 2ZZ-GE is a 1.8 litre four-cylinder with 16 valves, twin overhead camshafts and the VVTL-i system, which varies both timing and lift. Toyota fitted it to the Celica T23 in TS form and to the Corolla E12 1.8 VVTL-i TS.
Its cylinder head takes 8 inlet valves, two per cylinder, original part number 13711-88600. Higher revs, a supercharger or more aggressive camshafts increase the heat and impact they have to absorb.
On every cycle the inlet valve lets the fresh charge in, drops back onto its seat and slides in its guide, at 400 to 550 °C. Across that range a conventional chrome-silicon steel goes from 500 MPa at 500 °C to 250 MPa at 600 °C: it gives up 50 % of its strength.
The SUPERTECH EV8 keeps 550 MPa at 600 °C, 120 % more than that steel; both its stainless and EV8 versions are black nitrided. The FERREA Competition Plus valves, stainless with a chrome-plated stem, add 20 % hot and fatigue strength and extend seat life by 25 %.
The FERREA F2193P takes the head from 34 to 35 mm with stem and length unchanged: the flow area grows, the cylinder fills better and the engine gains power, provided the 8 inlet seats are machined to that diameter.

FERREA F2192P and F2193P have a single groove: fit them with single-groove collets, which clamp the stem.
The 35 mm F2193P requires the 8 inlet seats to be machined to its size; the 34 mm valves sit on original seats.

The groove is the recess at the end of the stem where the collets sit to hold the upper retainer. On the 2ZZ-GE the choice is first the size, then the material:
