    The VR30DDTT is Nissan's 3.0 litre twin-turbo direct injection V6 with 24 valves and twin overhead camshafts per bank. It powers the Skyline V37 3.0 from 2019 to 2023 and the Z Z34 since 2022, from 305 to 420 hp.

    It has 12 inlet valves, Nissan part number 13201-5CA0A, held by 13210-53Y00 collets. Raised boost or a higher rev limit load them well beyond stock use.

    FERREA reinforced inlet valves

    The inlet valve lets in the air compressed by the two turbos, returns to its seat on every cycle and slides constantly in its guide. It runs between 400 and 550 °C: at 600 °C an original chrome-silicon steel drops to 250 MPa against 500 MPa at 500 °C, 50 % of its strength lost.

    These FERREA valves belong to the Competition Plus range, here in a special alloy: the range brings 20 % more hot strength and fatigue resistance and extends seat life by 25 %.

    They come in standard size (33.35 mm head) and +1 mm oversize (34.35 mm head), with a 5.47 mm stem and a length of 101.10 mm. The 34.35 mm head widens the passage at the seat and improves filling, provided the 12 inlet seats are cut to this diameter.

    The +1 mm oversize needs the inlet seats cut to 34.35 mm; in standard size the seats keep their diameter.

    The brand offered

    FERREAFERREA Racing Components was born in 1978 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, driven by two engine builders from Argentina. Its valves are forged in one piece from bar stock, then fully CNC machined, and run in NASCAR as well as in dragsters.
