This kit brings together the exhaust side guides of the cylinder head of the Honda K20C1, the 2.0 litre turbo four-cylinder of the Civic Type R FK2, FK8 and FL5.

The 8 exhaust valves each slide in a guide pressed into the cylinder head, which this kit replaces in full.

The exhaust guide keeps the valve centred over its seat, directs the very high heat of its stem towards the cylinder head and supports the seal. If it gains play, the valve vibrates, closes poorly and oil slips into the exhaust port: a blue plume, a falling oil level and a cylinder losing compression.

For these guides FERREA uses a copper and bronze blend of American origin, with a heat treatment specific to the manufacturer; by the brand's account, it improves heat removal, resistance to wear and to high temperatures, and sliding. Precise CNC machining makes them compatible with titanium and stainless valves. The kit supplies the 8 exhaust guides needed by a K20C1, often paired with reinforced valves.

Standard or oversize?

This FERREA guide comes in standard size or with a 0.0254 mm (0.001") oversize, the latter being reserved for reamed guide bores.
