ARP main bearing stud kit for the BMW 5.0 40V S85B50:

• BMW M5 E60 / E61 2004 - 2010
• BMW M6 E63 / E64 2005 - 2010

• ARP2000: stronger than 8740, this alloy withstands clamping and tensile loads up to 1516 N/mm2. Widely used on track and drag cars, and compatible with hydrogen.
• L19: a premium treated steel offering far higher tensile and fatigue strength than the 8740 and ARP2000 ranges, up to 1792 N/mm2. More sensitive to corrosion, it must stay oiled and away from moisture. Not recommended with hydrogen.
• CA625+ (Custom Age 625 Plus): this super-alloy combines much higher technical properties with resistance to corrosion and oxidation. Tensile strength up to 1930 N/mm2.

All ARP hardware is designed and manufactured in the United States. Production starts with cold or hot forging, followed by a heat treatment that varies with the range and by shot peening to remove irregularities. Precision grinding then delivers perfect concentricity before the thread is made. Finishing comes last, with a coating such as black chrome-molybdenum oxide or stainless steel polishing depending on the product range.

Every kit is supplied with assembly lubricant and an instruction sheet stating:
