    CATCAMS CAT031 rocker arm kit

    The CAT031 rocker arm kit contains:

    • 24 CAT031 rocker arms
    • 2 rocker arm shafts with extra oil holes (BMW original)
    • 1 oil bridge (oil feed from the exhaust rocker shaft to the intake side)

    Unlike many of its competitors, who machine their cams from cast steel, CATCAMS cuts its camshafts straight from billet, which makes them a great deal stronger. Most CATCAMS camshafts are hollow, in order to cut their mass.

    CATCAMS has built a worldwide reputation over many years on camshafts and their related parts (valve springs, mechanical cam followers, vernier cam pulleys and so on), thanks to real know-how and to a close study of engines and applications. Each camshaft profile is developed around the specific features of the engine, but also around the intended use: road, sport, rally, drag, circuit and so on.

    Two figures matter when choosing a camshaft profile: valve lift and angle (opening duration). Longer opening times bring more power and torque, and more lift optimises power at high rpm.
