The Nissan engine covered
These springs are made for the Nissan 3.0 litre twin-turbo V6 with direct injection and 24 valves, engine code VR30DDTT, which has two overhead camshafts per bank. It powers the Skyline V37 from 2019 to 2023 and the Nissan Z (Z34) since 2022, with 305 to 420 hp.
As standard, each valve gets a single spring, part 13203-5CA1A, marked pink on the inlet side and yellow on the exhaust side. The assembly also includes upper retainers 13209-1KC0A, lower spring seats 13205-53Y00 and collets 13210-53Y00.
SUPERTECH reinforced valve spring kit
Once the cam lobe has passed its peak, the spring presses the valve back onto its seat. When revs climb, inertia takes over: the valve lifts off, bounces and may hit the piston, which is valve float.
This kit brings 24 single conical springs, one per valve, inlet and exhaust alike: 356 N on the seat, then 965 N at 10 mm lift.

The SUPERTECH SPRK-FM46-VR30-BE2 kit holds 24 single conical springs, 24 titanium upper retainers and 24 lower spring seats. The original collets are kept.
To get the installed height, measure the gap, valve closed, that separates the lower spring seat from the upper retainer. The 356 N load is quoted at a height of 37.0 mm. When the gap grows, for instance after the valve seats are recut deeper, each extra millimetre removes from the load the spring rate listed in the table above.

Our brands
| SUPERTECH, a California firm, has supplied valve train parts to competition engine builders for over three decades. The spring wire is a chromium, silicon and vanadium alloy steel, the upper retainers are cut from titanium, and every lot is inspected using ultrasound, radiography and a laser. |
How to choose
Stiffer springs allow higher revs, a livelier camshaft or more turbo pressure without the valves starting to float. This kit gives 356 N on the seat and 965 N at 10 mm lift. Before ordering, measure the real lift of your camshafts and compare it with the datasheet: it has to stay under 12.7 mm, the limit of these springs. The check takes a few minutes and prevents a wrong purchase.
| Criterion | Key point |
|---|---|
| Choosing the pressure | Three criteria drive the choice: camshaft lift, the revs you are targeting and the boost pressure. If one of them rises, the load has to follow, without going past the maximum lift of the springs. This kit supplies 356 N on the seat. Going stiffer than needed gains nothing: cams and tappets would simply wear faster than they should. |
| Single or double spring | Every valve receives one spring whose coil tightens towards the top, hence the conical shape. No inner spring is added, unlike double spring kits. The kit supplies titanium upper retainers together with lower spring seats, while the existing collets carry on in service. |
When reinforced springs become necessary
- Camshafts opening valves further than standard
- Maximum revs far above the factory limit
- Turbo pressure raised after a remap
- Heads rebuilt for circuit, drift or rally
- Fatigued springs, valve float at high revs
