The G6DA and G6DJ are 3.8 litre, 24-valve V6 engines. They power the Hyundai Genesis saloon, from 2008 to 2017 depending on the generation.
The kit replaces the original spring along with its upper retainer and lower spring seat. It also brings new valve stem seals.

As soon as the cam lobe is past, the spring alone pulls the valve toward its seat. At high speed a valve in motion is slow to return: lacking load, it bounces, shuts late and hits the piston. That is valve float.
Its double springs give the SPRK-H1002D-HY 338 N on the seat at 34.3 mm and 818 N at 10.0 mm of lift, for 13.0 mm of maximum lift.

The SPRK-H1002D-HY combines SPR-H1002D double springs, RET-K20A2/T2 titanium upper retainers, SEAT-DUR/1 and SS-3043 lower spring seats and VSI-D5.5E valve stem seals.
Fitted height: the spacing, with the valve closed, separating the spring's two bearing faces. The 338 N quoted is only exact at 34.3 mm. If that figure grows, say after machining the head, the load drops in proportion to the spring rate for each millimetre gained. Measure each valve before assembling, then compare with the table.

How to choose
A high load keeps the valve pressed on the cam when rotation speed exceeds what the standard spring follows.
