Kit of 12 exhaust valve guides for the BMW S55B30, 6 mm stem.
This kit groups the exhaust side guides of the cylinder head of the BMW S55B30, the 3.0 litre twin-turbo inline six fitted to the M2 Competition and M2 CS (F87), the M3 (F80) and the M4 coupé and convertible (F82, F83).
The 12 exhaust valves, original part 11 34 7 847 033, each slide in a guide pressed into the cylinder head, which this kit replaces in full.
In the head, the guide holds the exhaust valve in line with its seat, transfers the heat its stem receives to the head and houses the seal. As it wears, the valve knocks in its guide, no longer seats properly and lets oil run down to the exhaust: blue smoke, a falling oil level and weakening compression.
Cut by SUPERTECH from manganese bronze, these guides benefit from a copper alloy which, by the brand's account, carries heat away far more effectively than a factory sintered guide. They are usually fitted at the same time as reinforced valves; this kit groups the 12 exhaust guides needed for one head, the inlet ones being sold on a separate page.
