Forged connecting rods VAG - 1.9L / 2.0L TDI - PD/CR for forged pistons

Set of 4 forged ZRP connecting rods in 4340 steel for VAG 1.9L / 2.0L TDI, 26 mm piston pin.

This set fits the 1.9 TDI PD130/PD150 and 2.0 TDI PD140/PD170/CR140/CR170 engines. It is intended for blocks with a bore over 79.50 mm and a tapered piston pin end, for builds aiming at higher boost pressure.

Torque and bolt stretch

ARP 2000 bolts are tightened to 40.7 Nm, or by stretch control between 0.140 and 0.152 mm. With ARP L19 bolts, torque is 54.2 Nm, for a stretch between 0.127 and 0.140 mm. Measuring stretch with a dial indicator remains the most reliable method: it reflects the real tension in the bolt, whereas torque depends on thread friction.

Set supplied complete, bolts included depending on the range chosen. Fitting these forged rods is usually combined with replacing the original pistons with forged pistons.
