Exhaust Heat Wrap and Clamps kit

Whether made of fiberglass, ceramic, or titanium, the purpose of heat wrap is to reduce heat emission from a car's exhaust. This type of exhaust heat wrap has three main advantages:

• Optimized heat flow: By keeping the gases at a high temperature in the exhaust, the insulation reduces the gas density and thus increases their flow, resulting in improved performance.

• Protection of engine compartment components: The hottest part of an exhaust system is the manifold.

Since this is located directly at the cylinder head outlet, it can cause wear or even destruction of engine peripherals (hoses, cables, sheathing, etc.).

• Reduced temperature in the passenger compartment: sports cars are often stripped of all driving comforts such as sound insulation (carpeting, door panels, etc.) in order to save weight, but this makes the passenger compartment sensitive to noise and heat emissions (the exhaust passes in front of and/or below the driver and co-driver). To address this problem, it is recommended to install this type of tape on the exhaust, as well as insulating panels on the inside or outside of the body.

For a major build, we recommend titanium tape because it is more durable and its insulating power is superior to fiberglass.
