ARP was founded in the early 1970s in Southern California when Gary Holzapfel noticed the number of engines that broke down due to the original bolts, as at that time there were no alternatives to the original equipment.
ARP arrived by offering a reinforced solution based on steel forging, followed by a heat treatment called hardening with a high degree of precision, followed by thread machining, and finally, metrological quality control.
