Set of 4 reinforced exhaust valves for the Peugeot 205 Rallye / Citroën AX Sport TU24.
The TU24 powers the Peugeot 205 Rallye 1.3, built from 1987 to 1990; in this car the 1.3 litre four-cylinder from the TU family produces 101 hp.
The TU24 powers the Citroën AX Sport 1.3, built from 1987 to 1988; in this car the 1.3 litre four-cylinder from the TU family produces 95 hp.
Its 8-valve cylinder head has one exhaust valve per cylinder, 4 in all, with an 8 mm stem. These are the valves that take the full blast of the burnt gases as they leave the combustion chamber.
On the exhaust side, the head metal reaches 760 to 870 °C on a naturally aspirated engine. It cools first through the seat, which carries away nearly 75 % of the heat, the guide removing about 20 %. An EV8 family steel keeps only 300 MPa at 800 °C, against 550 MPa at 600 °C: an overheated head fatigues, distorts and ends up seating poorly.

MK8 collets hold the 9249011M: check how they sit in the groove before releasing the valve spring compressor.
The 8 mm stem calls for guides of that diameter; measure the clearance in each guide before reassembly.
Regrind the exhaust seats during the rebuild, so that the 31.3 mm head seats over its full width.
