4.4L 32v - B8444S 

The B8444S is the only V8 in this tree, a 4.4-litre thirty-two-valve unit developed with Yamaha and a long way from the four and five-cylinder engines that make up the rest of the Volvo range. NSB Concept currently lists a single part for it, but the one that governs any build: the WISECO forged piston kit, 94mm bore, 8.7:1 compression ratio. That is the largest bore in this whole tree, and it follows directly from the geometry of the vee block. No connecting rods, big end bearings or head gaskets are listed for this engine.
