These guides fit the exhaust side of Toyota's G16E-GTS, the 1.6 litre turbocharged three-cylinder of the GR Yaris, the GR Corolla and the Lexus LBX Morizo RR. The head carries six exhaust valves, so the kit supplies six guides.

The manufacturer states a bore of 5.51 to 5.53 mm and a factory clearance of 0.030 to 0.065 mm on the exhaust. The original outside diameter is 10.333 to 10.344 mm, with a 0.05 mm repair size in the Toyota catalogue. The inlet guides have their own page.

At the exhaust, the guide faces the heat of burnt gases creeping down the stem. It maintains the valve opposite its seat despite expansion, sends heat off through the head and carries the seal. As it ages, the valve begins to rattle in its bore; it closes less well and oil creeping along the stem burns as bluish smoke.

These FERREA guides are cut from an American copper bronze given a heat treatment of the brand's own. Per its catalogue, the process improves cooling of the stem, wear life, hot behaviour and lubrication. Precise CNC machining accepts titanium and stainless steel. Six guides make up the kit, one per exhaust valve. Reinforced exhaust valves are the usual companion.
