Weld-on 1/8" NPT steel insert for an EGT exhaust temperature sensor (ref. AD39001).
This insert accepts an EGT exhaust gas temperature sensor (type K thermocouple) through a 1/8" NPT thread. Made in France and machined from bar stock with a generous wall thickness, it makes welding easier and prevents thread distortion. On a turbocharged engine it welds to the manifold just before the turbo; on a naturally aspirated engine it welds to the manifold about 10 cm after the cylinder head outlet of one cylinder.
