Self-learning function for Sybele CHALLENGER 5 ECU management

A self-learning function allows the Challenger 5 to adjust its injection mapping itself.

This function is provided because mapping the injection maps is the most difficult and time-consuming part of engine tuning, and the new ECUs have the computing power necessary to do it very quickly and with high precision.

Self-learning of the injection timing requires that the engine be equipped with a lambda sensor, for example: BOSCH LSU 4.9 Wideband / AFR Sensor

This self-learning is not a simple correction of injection times with the Lambda sensor, but a real fine-tuning of the injection timing map. You will find a complete explanation of how the ECU operates in the specific documentation provided with the Challenger 5 software package installation. It's a simple matter to initiate the self-learning process (by following the simple instructions in the documentation) and run the engine to teach the ECU: a quality self-learning map shows in real time the quality of each point in the injection map, and you simply need to run the engine in the areas where the quality is not good enough. DELIVERY OF THE SELF-LEARNING OPTION: When you purchase the self-learning option at the same time as your ECU, you will find a CD-ROM called 'Self-Learning' with your kit, and an installation guide. If you purchase this option separately, our technical Mount will contact you immediately by email to request the serial number of your ECU. This number can be found on the label on the back of the ECU. This number can also be found by connecting to the ECU with Winjall and using the 'ECU Characteristics' function in the machine's context menu.
