Two settings can coexist for this same programmable computer (multi-map). The desired setting can be selected while driving, via a dashboard switch, allowing adaptation to driving conditions and providing a super boost to the engine when needed for turbocharged engines. An exhaust bang is produced at the end of a sequential gear change because the normal ignition timing is reset with a slope to avoid transmission jolts.
