Unlike many of its competitors who machine cams from cast steel, CATCAMS cuts its camshafts directly from the mass, which has the effect of making them much more resistant. Most of the time, AAC CATCAMS are hollow in order to reduce their mass.

CATCAMS' expertise on camshafts and its accessories (valve springs, mechanical tappets, adjustable pulley, etc.) has been recognized worldwide for several years thanks to its know-how and precise study of engines and applications. Indeed, each AAC profile has been developed according to the specificities of each engine but also according to the use/applications (road, sport, rally, run, circuit, etc.).

Two parameters are important for the choice of profile of a camshaft: the valve lift and the angle (opening duration). An increase in opening times allows for an increase in power/torque and an increase in lift optimizes power at high rpm.
